We are exploring the idea of doing a Spring Swap Meet here at the shop on Memorial Day 2024. There is a tremendous amount of people interested in cycling in town that day for the races, and we have access to the parking lot behind the shop.
The idea has been brought up many times over the years to coincide with/be part of the races on Memorial Day, but it never actually was followed through on (for many reasons)....also, many people just can't make the trek out to T-town for their swap meet, why not have one here? Clean out your garage, and maybe find some cool stuff you need, and help a local charity at the same time?!
We are thinking of Monday, May 27th starting in the morning (around 9AMish) until early afternoon (2-3PMish), 10x10 spaces. The fee for the spaces would be something along the lines of $25, with all money going to the Raritan Food Bank (or a similar local non profit organization, maybe someone who helps Veterans.)
Looking for feedback on 2 fronts... 1) Who would even be interested in attending, and 2) any feedback/ideas like start and finish times, etc.
