First ride at Park

I have off work Wed. and Thursday so I was wondering if anyone else has time for a ride to show me around the trails. I'm available anytime during those 2 days if anyone is up for a ride. I've never been to Estell so Wed. I'll probably spend exploring the trails to get a lay of the land. Anyone have any advice for a noobie to the park, trail conditions, routes, bug issues 🙂 and whatever there is to look out for on the trails.

Hey Brian I am not available either day but by all means go ride. Park in the lot at Artesian Well Rd., which is a dirt road north of the main park entrance. Enter the trails there and explore, you will get turned around a few times but should be able to figure it pretty quickly.

I did about 3 hours of riding today. There are some nice flowing trails that are pretty much flat. The tight tree's in sections adds to the challenge if you increase the speed. I did lay a shoulder block on 1 of the tree's but I think the tree won that fight. 😀 I had an awesome ride and will definately go back again. ( Maybe tomorrow if my legs aren't to sore. 😉 ) The trails are a little overgrown in sections which made me wish I'd of worn pants and not my shorts. I also met up with another guy for the second half of my ride. Don't know if he's a member on here but if you are thanks for the company Dave and call me when you want to ride Ceres Park.

I'd like to go...but..well....i just got home today after 20 hours of driving and work. So after work tomorrow i don't see it happening. Glad to hear you made it out Brian.

I didn't make it out today. I had the secure things down at my shore house in Cape May then got out of Dodge before everyone hit the panic button getting away from the coastline areas. Hope I still have a place to go back too next week. 🙁 Good luck with Irene everyone and stay safe.
