The rumors have been out there for a bit, especially among team members, that the value of the forum has skyrocketed during the pandemic.
It has been quite the cash cow lately when Google approached us with an offer that exceeded @clarkenstein's estimated NPV of the future cash flow.
They agreed to keep the admin in place, and made a generous salary offer, tripling what we make now (excluding stock options and bonus.)
They require a probation period for all members, but have yet to define the parameters of probation.
I do expect them by midnight of 4/1. Poking around the internet, it appears they have a tiered system to move back to unrestricted membership.
