Free Beer & Chicken

This is an old carney trick.

I have all of the beer and chicken I need, you have to come free it up.
"groan"

I like to make an entrance.
I'm going to hit that High Bridge Park on Monday.

The Central Park stuff off of the pavement is very illegal, like confiscate your bike illegal.

I live in Weehawken also, Park Ave; the other gypsy bus line.

Here is a local tip i only just found out: Check out Shortys at 576 9th Ave, on the back side of the Port Authority for great Cheesesteaks and Sausage and Peppers and surprisingly good selection of beer. I had always been looking for a spot to hit for either a quick bite before meeting friends, or quick bite before getting back on the bus. I have been here for years and only just found that place out.

As said before there are no good bike shops in the area as far as mechanics go. James Vincent Bikes in Union City has a lot of parts though. The bike shop in Hoboken is tiny and pretty much useless. I can't believe a yuppy mecca like Hoboken only has one small bike shop.

Curious: In your travels around Weehawken have you found any decent bars? A place Park Avenue Grill opened down the street and it is quite aweful. Meathead bouncers wearing all black, velvet ropes, and Valet parking kind of give it away.

I mostly drink $3 Coronas and shoot Mexican rules 8 ball at Mi Otra Casita - 30th & New York Ave in Union City. Other than that you basically have to go to Hoboken/NYC.
I will check out Shorty's but my last stop is always Dave's Tavern behind Port Authority on 9th.
I'm on 25th and ride from Braddock Park to Liberty State mostly

Oh, you take the same gypsy bus as i do. I live right near the 495 on ramp across from Walgreens. Cool.
