Getting trails added to RWGPS?

So I was on Ride with GPS trying to plan out a longer loop to include the Perrineville trails and realized they aren't recognized on RWGPS yet. Is there a plan to have them added? What is the process for having trails added? And is it a matter of just waiting until they are a little more "finalized" before having them added? I'm going to give Strava routes a try, but I've never messed around with it.

Are you doing a mixed ride? If it’s just trails I use Trailforks, it’s not a perfect interface but it works well enough. They tend to have the most accurate trial info since it’s user managed.

Not sure what RWGPS uses for a trail data source (probably not Strava or Trailforks data since they are competitors). My guess would be they are using OSM data or their own database. If OSM, that’s also user managed and can be easily edited (in theory). If it’s their own database, it’s up to RWGPS. Put in a support ticket and see what they say!

Yes, trying to plan a long mixed route that includes Perrineville.

I will look for and try the support ticket idea. I've never done that before.

Most of the programs suck at mixed routing. I’ll swap the map to heat map and whatever one shows the trails, then switch to manual and draw where I want to go. It’s not usually right but it’s enough of a reference to get you where you need to be.

The other option is to create 2 separate GPX routes and stitch them together. You’ll need some extra software there, or you could even copy/paste the XML into a single doc using notepad or something like that.
