I never realized I can’t run my rear Salsa rack on Elsa with the HuDus. I always have studded D5s for races and they’re about an inch narrower and shorter.

I may do this ride again before the park closes because I got a flat in Union Beach and couldn’t do all of the sand like I wanted. I kept filling my tire until Atlantic Highlands where I stopped by Highlander for sealant and borrow a pump to plug the tire properly. Burp’s shop in Union Beach was closed. I also planned on riding around the hook at night when the place is closed because that’s gotta be cool.

Must be the anchoring points, I've had HuDus on my Mukluk with a Salsa rack forever without any issue. Are you using the specific 190/197 rack?

Yeah, 197 rack. I have them mounted to 100 rims though so they’re an inch wider. I have an adapter to jack the rack up already but I might look for a taller one

Have built a pretty good base over the Summer but my high end has dropped off significantly…like holy shit I need to get some interval work in before SS Worlds or I might as well not even line up 😂
