As always tell post blab shout blog skywrite post everywhere and anywherel you can possibly think of to tell all parents and kids that there is some real kid mtb racing in NJ again for kids on two wheelers, pre k thru grade 8 based on fall 2023 school registration

this is a real grass roots event that depends on the cycling community to promote it and support it in any way possible

the kid's korse (location on pdf map below ) is open and well marked and clear for practice laps, (a downed tree was recently cleared). parents, bring the kids, explore a bit, maybe meet some of the competitors and get lunch locally or treat to ice cream !

I just registered my son! Just an FYI you linked the reg for last year and the new one has 2022 for the categories 😉 Were stoked to be here again for the second time!
 
thx for pointing out that error in the age category description on bike reg, categories are now correctly defined as based on grade in fall 2023, (My bad, I had copied and incorrectly used fall 2022 from last yr event)

this is head to head competition for kids having fun and hopefully coming back again and again and moving on to NICA or just continuing to ride for giggles
 
Thanks to the parents who have already signed up 19 riders for the race

Do ask your local bike shop to help promote this kids event to customers and let your social media loose on this too

Took a lap of the kid’s korse and it’s in great shape for practicing and enjoying as part of more riding along the rail trail

Do please tell everyone about this kid’s race as help get kids (and parents) on bikes
 
Thx for help to promote the race and registering online early

Many parents have asked if balance bikes are allowed……NO…….the skill and speed difference is not a combo that this risk averse organizer will entertain

(But maybe a future event could include a balance class?)

Meanwhile get the kids out there to preride on two wheelers (or even a balance bike)
 
One week away for kids racing

Always looking for help on race day, just message or offer up on Saturday

If pre registered just check in At registration to get number plate and then see the Cyclecraft tech support team to get the bike checked and tweaked if needed so racers are fast and safe, air brakes chain etc
Pre ride open until about 0845 then kids korse is closed for racers only
A similar chunk or trail for warm up etc is adjacent to the kids korse
Happy trails on Saturday
