the grasshopper kid's bike race, TOMORROW!!!!

Pre reg Sign up is closed but on site day of registration will be open after 0730 Saturday morning

supported by great groups like cyclecraft and JORBA is coming after a 2 year pause

this is a real grass roots event that depends on the cycling community to promote it and support it in any way possible

as always the kid's korse is open for practice laps, parents, bring the kids and get those practice laps logged

Good question re balance bikes (let’s cover training wheels too)

Simple answer nope,
no training wheels either

this really is a course on single track and rail trail, complete w rocks roots and gravel, speed and ability difference between two wheelers and everything else is not safe

We welcome any and all help,

I’ll post a reminder a few weeks before race to call out troops to do course prep, course marshal, finish line judge, bike check help etc

on race day, we need, really early in morning, like 0800......all students are welcome to help too

course marshalls, if you can watch a kids race you are qualified

registration, on site help, if you can operate a pen and paper you are qualified

bike checkers, all bikes get a quick check to ensure they are race capable, sometimes a tweak is needed, if you have trail fixed anything you are quallified

contact thru this site to let us know so we can plan better, showing up race day and asking "how can i help" can work as well

excellent, i promise its easy and fun, just look for registration tent and myself likely with a megaphone in hand and we'll give you first choice of location!

57 racers pre registered and only a few more hours to pre reg, then you need to bring $10 cash and sign up on sote

Check for your racer’s start time on flyer above
Great weather coming with lots of smiles

Kids on bikes, it’s all good
