Hartshorne group ride...any interest?

i would like a proper tour - think i missed most of it first time around.
too far to put in a regular rotation, but would love to make it down.

Good chance. Feel free to stop me. I'm the guy on the Ti fatbike. I've been riding there for 25 years. The 200 times/yr is a slight exaggeration. It's probably only 100-150 times. Road trip, anyone?
 
I am for this as well (this and the other thread talking about same for Allaire)

Weekend:
- Sat is preferred and earlier the better...I can make sunrise but I realize 8am or 9am is probably earliest most can tolerate on the weekend 🙂
- Sunday earliest I can do is 10a Hartshorne (10:30 Allaire).

but whatever y'all decide on date/times I will try to make as often as possible!

but some options to consider:

(#1) one week Allaire, one week Hartshorne

(#2) both parks each weekend. For example: Allaire Saturday; Hartshorne Sunday. same time each day (e.g., 9am). it's a standing appointment each weekend. whether zero people show up or 10 on any given weekend. for hartshorne I would recommend either upper lot or Claypit as the lower lot has a tendency to fill up.

I prefer (#2) for a few reasons - more opportunities for rides with other intermediate riders and dont need to remember whether this is a "allaire or hartshorne weekend".

btw, I wont complain if the start times are 8am 🙂

I'l be there tonight at 5 rain or shine in claypit lot. I'll also be there saturday at 6:15 navesink lot. I am limited to early on weekends as I need to get out and back home before newborn is up.this keeps wifey happy.

Believe it or not I don't ever remember seeing a fat bike there. I'm usually there Sunday mornings with the occasional Sunday late afternoon ride. I'm on either a Silver Jamis, Green Orange MTBs SS, or a Bright Orange Old School Klein. Usually in the Rocky Point lot.

Dave, WTF with the rain or shine... You should know better..

Never ride when it's too sunny, could hurt your eyes..
Oh, and should never ride in the rain either... You'r gonna lose brownie points for this one..
 
Park isn't closed on account of weather😉 ...no fair weather rider here. Gotta go when I can. Fix the trails? Obstacles are the whole point of xc riding. Anyone care to join?
 
Also, not knocking trail maintenance but in the two years I have ridden hartshorne I have only ever seen maintenance done one time and it was a very small amount of trimming and 5 or so rain diversion ditches made.
