Hello fellow crazy people!

Hi All,
Just an introduction. I'm new to this forum but have been posting on mtbr quite a bit ( apologies if that's something I shouldn't mention).

My real names Ross, I'm originally from England but due to dual nationality I now live in 'Merica and obviously NJ (which I love). I'm also completely mad and obsessed about bikes and the parts that make them and anything in between. I love the sport and I joined this site to talk more with my local riders.

I have two bikes, a 2009 Scott Spark 60 and also my pride and joy my custom Cannondale Trigger 2 Carbon frame build that I just finished building. I love building and working on my bikes in my spare time and I really like cleaning em too. Yes that obsessed. My trigger was my first full build I did and was something I took on whilst recovering from a broken leg and I'm very proud of it. I built it around an all mountain capacity but she climbs real well too although I haven't ridden it more than two times due to this bloody snow. Details to follow cause I know we all like specs and pics. Marty's Reliable in Morristown were awesome with advice and helping me finish her off so props to them too.

I know the hubs and rims dont quite match the scheme but they came off another one of my bikes and were almost new and i wasnt going to spend more on something i didnt need. its more about functionality at the end of the day.

Anyway bonjour and pleasure to meet you all!

Welcome...I like you avatar...did you used to drive a wolf?

where do you normally ride?

Yes I used to drive one back when I was in my lower twenties I'm now 31. Big IED magnets now that wouldn't stand much hope.

I ride Up round Lewis Morris and the Northern Loop. I love six mile run and I go to Allamuchy a fair bit also. I live in Morristown though so I can literally cycle to Lewis Morris after work.

I mentioned it because i just so happen to be watching top gear last night and they had a whole segment about replacing the wolf with the foxhound.

You should check out Split rock (wildcat ridge)

Yes their replacements are well overdue!

That's awesome I'll definitely do that. Thanks a million for the Info.

Just a matter of getting rid of this snow now jeesh. The winter that never ends.

That is a sweet ride, I think I did randomly see that picture on MTBR maybe?

Anyway, you definitely have to come play at Mahlon, there's some really good stuff the Trigger will love. I'm with you on the wrenching, I find it therapeutic (when I'm not cursing at something). John the mechanic at Marty's is the bomb! And Sean is sorta ok too.😉😛
Welcome!

Welcome!

Thank you.
yeah im literally itching to get out there. Mahlon ill definitely be hitting up a lot. With getting over the broken leg and my now finished bike its one long wait ive had. This summer is going to be very rewarding. Ive been working real hard at Physio Therapy and at the gym to try and get my fitness back up ready to ride. Having been laid horizontal for months after surgery i put on around 25 pounds too, 8 of which ive been able to shed since i started hard again 3 weeks ago. Still cant run 100% yet but i sure as hell can go full blast on the exercise bike, although no replacement it definitely helps to get my muscles back that have simply vanished.

Martys were cool as hell and those lads were more than happy to help and share their knowledge they have my loyalty any day of the week.

Here's my break and titanium pin that now resides in my Fibula for the rest of my days in case anyone is interested
