New member from Green/Tranquility. I was into MTB back in 01' with my brand new Stumpjumper Pro riding Deer Park/Allamuchy quite a bit. Even rode in the "Fight Club" solo with ni cads at the time.
In the 80's & 90's I was a Ridge Rider with enduros on Allamuchy Mnt.
I switched back to motos again giving up MTB's but on dual sports that time. Ive ridden 5,200 miles across the country, Atlantic to the Pacific on all dirt outside of NJ of course.
Gave that up not to long ago. Wife's orders after low siding and a helicopter ride to Morristown ER.
Now my best friend who is an avid MTB'r got me back in to it.
Bought a new Cannondale Moterra Carbon 1 and slowly tweaking it to my liking. Meaning more upright, Im 63 today and my spine is held together with screws lol
I ride Allamuchy/Deer Park quite often obviously as its right down the street.
* I always thought it would have been cool if they had put a big pipe/tunnel under Rt 80 at the summit during construction linking both parks. lol
Anyway, I respect the work thats done by the dedicated volunteers here that make these parks so great. Thank you.

@FrankR Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊!!!

welcome and Happy bday @FrankR

Lots of friendly folks and ball busters on here. browse the different forums on here to get the info on group rides, trail conditions etc...

I'd also suggest you connect on here with the eBike crowd @jdog and @mattybfat

sounds like that would be a great group for you to ride with , but us non ebikers would be fine to ride with too but only if youre in Eco mode ;-)

Thanks !
Yea, when I ride with my friend who rides a Yeti Flintstone or whatever its called, i tell him wake me up when he gets to the top. * I like to bust chops too lol.
All in good fun of course.
Thanks for the warm welcome fellas.

I too got pulled out of the moto world after breaking my leg in 2017. I miss it terribly, but the ebike giives me a little of that same rush w/ way less hassle.

I try to pull off a moto trip each year if I can swing it.

I’ve been selling e-bikes for about a decade and they have gotten way better in the last 2 seasons. They will only get better.

It’s funny how all my moto buddies are now getting on the ebike train too. These guys all have multiple 10k plus dirt bikes, but they whine like children about the cost of e-bikes.

I’m sure we will cross paths in your area soon. I Live in the sourlands, but ride in your area at least a few times a month. I’m building trails right now at Chimney rock if you want a tour there soon.

Where do you ride moto? Assuming outside of NJ. I used to ride moto (aka "dirt bikes") where I grew up in the Midwest, but can't find anywhere nearby to ride here.

Youll need a registered and plated bike like a 500 EXE. Then options open up but really its the pine barrens in nj.

There is an extensive "fight club" in NJ.

I assumed as much. When I make it out to an electric Sunday ride maybe someone can drop some hints on how I can find my way to the basement of Lou's Tavern.
