Time has come for me to sell my beloved Ripmo. I’ve basically stopped riding this bike after buying a bike with the same geometry but 5lbs lighter last August. Relegated to the occasional enduro or park day isn’t a life for this bike, it needs to be ridden. The bike’s reputation precedes itself; it really is the one bike quiver.

The Good: Suspension is plush. I did a lower service ~10 hours ago on the fork and the shock was rebuilt by DVO last August. Also took the time to take the frame linkage apart at that time and re-greased all the bushings. Haven’t ridden this bike much since, hence…selling. The drivetrain is new. Tires have plenty of life left, wheels roll true. This bike needs absolutely nothing to ride today.

The Bad: Being it’s a used bike ridden in Northern NJ. it has some rock chips in areas you’d expect…mostly near the cranks. None of these are more than superficial IMO. This Ripmo model had notoriously low amount of frame protection in high danger areas which is why I added the VHS chainstay protector. I tried to photograph the chips in the paint as well as I could before I built the bike back up. I also have a bottle of Ibis touch up paint I’ll include if you want to fix them, figured I’d leave them until you can assess. The bike wasn’t ridden super hard all things considered.

I actually took @2Julianas ripmo (medium) for a spin on saturday and it felt really good....If I was in the market for another big bike (I have 2 already) I might take you up on this.

This is less than the price of the carbon frame. Someone buy this bike. 🙂

If it was a medium I'd probably make the unwise financial decision of going from aluminum to carbon.

Gotta price it right for this place. My bike sold in a few hours - just saying 😀

Yeah, I'm slowly lowering it. I don't have a deadline like moving to Florida so I can take my time and hopefully find the right set of eyes.

I always have the TPC offer of $2100 I guess.
