IMBA Building New Trails In Highland NY

The Fats in the Cats will be hosting the IMBA Trail Care Crew June 18th through the 20th. The Trail Care Crew will be here to help build NEW singletrack at Illinos Mountain in Highland. The property is owned by Scenic Hudson and they have given the green light for building mountain bike trails (thanks Jill!).

We have a party and rides planned while IMBA is in town. Come out and meet professional trail builders, and learn how to make sustainable trails, and support your club with this new trails initiative. For those of you that came out in 2008 you know how awesome this event will be.

We need your help and participation to make the new trails a reality.

Friday June 18th
5 PM – Mountain bike mixer at my house in Ulster Park for FITC members (20 Hellbrook Lane, Ulster Park, 12487). Burgers, dogs, pot luck and beer.

Saturday June 19th -**Trail School and Singletrack Building**
10 AM to noon – TCC classroom session at Lloyd Town Hall (12 Church St. in downtown Highland about 1 mile from the trail work site).
Noon to 1 PM – Lunch provided by FITC.
1 to 4 PM – Trail work at Illinois Mountain.

Sunday June 20th
10 AM to 1 PM – Club ride with IMBA at 909.

IMBA trail building classes are always informative and fun. If you are into building or maintaining trails, this is a must do...good stuff.
