Is MVDP the GOAT?

I mean, cycling is a little bit of a favored sport when it comes to w/kg but lb for lb Matthieu has destroyed pretty much everyone at some point.Obviously MTB is his weakest link but it's realistically because those guys are midgets. Who the hell does 446 watts for 90 min in the middle of a race?! Tadej is a specialist but MVDP is sort of the fastest man on the planet.

MVDP is definitely one of the best to watch. He just goes for it and DGAF about what happens. But Tadej is the GOAT. He’s brutally fast everywhere. MVDP is just great in the wind and on flat 1 day races.
How about stage 9 pdf. Who even does that. He's a 3 discipline world champ too and has been on mob podiums as well.

He only races road. All of these euro pros grew up riding MTB and BMX and anything that moves. If he wanted to win a CX or MTB title, he just has to show up.
Not sure about pros but all my friends in Europe that ride road they also ride MTB and gravel. It would be interesting to Pogacar on one of the gravel/endurance classics here in the US. I really don't think riding or racing a MTB would be a problem for him...

Well that's cool I'm better at one thing in cycling than Tadej. That is some horrendous jumping form.

It’s been a while since MVDP won an XC race. Ever since that crash at the Olympics he hasn’t been the same. He went through a short stretch where he was unstoppable but since then he hasn’t put it all together.

I think Pidcock is equally if not more impressive. He’s got insane skills in all 3 disciplines. He can’t do 450 watts for 90 minutes but he usually doesn’t have to.

I have no idea who this person is but I would not even attempt a jump like that on a bike and seat post like that.

He lives in Poland or some shit, cut him a little slack. Surprised it isn’t made from bombed out cars and cabbage.
LOL! Slovenia. Something of a hot-bed for cycling these days, which is somewhat surprising given the relatively low population - 2.12M people.

I'm a MVDP fan and to me the question depends on context, he's absolutely the GOAT on two wheels. But if we're talking purely on the road I think it's becoming clearer and clearer that Tadej will go down in the history books as the GOAT.

@Jeremy speaking of Pidcock, I almost felt bad for him after watching the Milan San Remo post race interview. He was absolutely spectacular and came up JUST short.
