Lewis Morris Conditions

Hey, I'm going to be in the area and have never ridden the park before. What's fun?
This is my standard set of loops. The first one is (I think) the typical race route. Then there's a little loop around the north side that I do if I have time. Park at the little lot by the lake (where the start / finish is on this map)

Another park! 🤣

Kidding aside, it’s ok and really blown out. If you are looking for a spin and don’t mind lots of exposed roots, erosion, and hills, you can’t really go wrong. It’s not a place you can get lost at easily.

Rode PP into LewMo for the first time in a LONG time today. The 2 new trails are great both directions and welcome additions. Amy's Trail needs to get burned in a bunch more and I don't think it even needs much benchcutting. The branch off Northern Loop is some of the best singletrack in the park. Tree top down right at the start of Pink but otherwise great dusty loose conditions.

Snuck in another LewMo quickie this afternoon. Drier and dustier than Sunday and significantly buggier for some reason. Tree is still down on Pink.

Mostly hero dirt, no puddles. Trees down on new trail (whitehead road side) and on red which have been reported. Did some trimming. New trail is riding great.

Didn’t feel like riding today, 3 hours of work before the shovel snapped. Let’s hope for some rain.

Surprisingly dry after the storm yesterday, however a lot of sticks and limbs on trails. Cleared the ones on my quick lap but im sure they are everywhere. New trail is SOFT but needs to be packed down.

For as much rain over the past 5 days the park is pretty dry. Only downed tree I came across was on new green. Kinda on a blind corner if you’re movin.

Rode today. Roads were a little soft but the trails were good. Got home and only my tires were dirty. Why are so many of the trails yellow? 😩
