Was hero dirt and only a couple puddles this afternoon, despite the big storms last night. I did a short ride but i saw no trees down other than on the fresh cut/unfinished trail. Once those are cut, it seems finished to me - rode great!

The race course trails have all been trimmed back of thorns and brush. The ticks are crazy out there so check yourself twice!

I have a couple hours tomorrow morning. Anything need attention? Gonna do a quick ride with hand tools (loppers, pick, silky). Could also do some hedge trimming if close to a parking lot. I saw a couple things on my ride Monday to hit otherwise.

I found a few face slappers in this area today. Thanks for getting out there!

This is as far as I got today. Ran out of time and energy. Fixed all mudholes I saw and removed all face/arm/leg slappers

If i recall correctly from 2 days ago, there's a smedium tree down across in this area somewhere. Its been there a while and a go around has clearly formed. Far enough i dont think park staff gets out there but small enough someone with a silky can get it done.

I thought it was on that trail but if not, its definitely somewhere not too far from the lower lot.

i can likely do another TM ride Friday afternoon. i can try getting further up yellow to where you originally called out face slappers and/or try to find the small tree mentioned.

Got further and did lotsa lopping. That low area by the bridge was thick! Could still use a hedge trimmer thru there but it's good for the weekend.

New trail is passable and considered open. It will need to be ridden to start finishing work.

Good to see this is getting some traffic. It’s nice to not have to ride the fire road, but it changed my normal route. Everything else is riding really well.

I couldn't get to Lew Mo because of all the downed trees on
Patriots Path.

Few trees down, all passable, I was expecting worse. All will need chainsaws except the one on the new trail. Tempe Wick lot and road closed.
