Well - I think I found what we needed .
it is an add-on made for classified ads - the user manages the listing - for sale/sold/expired title prefix.
When the system sees sold, it locks the thread.
There is a subscription fee - which I don't mind paying the initial amount to see if it works.
I need to chat with @Norm - perhaps we set up a way to donate to cover, then anything after goes to my yacht fund, I mean JORBA.

Posting in the Bikes/Bits/Unrelated threads will now require a forum prefix.
Fairly straight forward! it is "For Sale"
When your item sells, you have two methods of closing the thread.
Both options are at the top of the thread.
One is to change the prefix to Sold, or to mark it Sold
One is on the upper left, the other on the context bar on the right.
Choosing the upper left will queue it to be closed at the top of the next hour.
Selecting Sold from the menu bar immediately closes the thread.
The goal was to be able to search for items still for sale - this is a first step.
I'll keep working towards it.

If I can figure out some magic to add the prefix to open threads, I'll do it. Or perhaps just manually do the last 6 months..
Wonder if I should add the prefix Discounted ?
Everybody likes a sale!
And everybody adds a discount to their asking price as well, so all threads will end up with that discounted prefix. 🙂
