New E-bike legislation in NJ

I'm red/green colorblind, but I can identify fire truck red.

Wait, what? How was that not an issue being a police officer?

Red light is on top. Green on the bottom. Or red left and green right. And I was never asked by an attorney on the stand. And I had a few serious DWI with injuries that the defendant ran a red light (not like I witnessed that anyway, just responded to the crash).

NJ never even asked. A few cities in CT disqualified me immediately.

Guys I worked with knew I would call out light colored or dark colored car or clothing. Or use other descriptions when possible. Better than guessing it wrong.

Traffic lights are easy. I see color, it's only certain shades of red/green that I can mix up.

Your last sentence is what I was referring to, but your explanation makes sense.

Same. Technically I'm red/green color deficient. So just depends on the shade and lighting and my B.A.C.

A shrubbery!

I wish I was witty enough to make proper use of this image

That’s about 2 miles from me. Phones are the least of Dunnellen’s problems. Every car looks like it’s on fire from all the high drivers. A couple blocks over is where that lady died during the flood because she drove over the railing into the river…
You hear about the Tesla that drove into the pond last night?

I think it’s a lesser evil than alcohol.

Plus people usually drive slow slower when they’re stoned not faster

An electric bicycle rider who injured himself in a crash in Morris County has been charged with violating the state’s new e-bike law, police said. The crash happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Saturday near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Coal Avenue in Morristown.

Police said the bike was a high-powered e-bike, equipped with pedal assist and throttle control, and rated for speeds up to 31 mph. At the time of the crash, the bike was operating on speed level five, officials said.

The bike was impounded and the rider was issued the following summonses: failure to possess insurance, driving without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating while driving privilege is suspended.

I feel like all of the cars ending up in houses and random businesses are weed related. They don’t post those stats.

I dont believe they are hiding stats at this infancy stage. Its likely that they havent adopted a universal field sobriety test and the current system is just too much of a financial burden. In serious cases like death or vehicular manslaughter, sending blood out makes sense. In other cases, i believe they probably just check what they can and by process of elimination, they conclude “it could be” weed.
