Hi everyone, My name is Bastien, I have just moved from France to New Jersey 2 weeks ago. Back in France I was riding a lot of Freeride and DownHill. Spending all my summer week-ends in the French Alps. My bike as been shipped by boat and should be with me next week!
I'm riding a 2009 Commencal Supreme DH. And because I have just arrive in the area, I am looking for new place to ride, and meet some new people to ride with!

Hi,
first thing they'll want you to do here is to trade that silly DH rig for a singlespeed 29er.

After that, I believe there are a couple of people looking for French lessons elsewhere on the forum.

Welcome Bastien. Notably, we have another French rider on the boards, Maurice, who is the fastest person alive. I'm pretty sure. Ergo, you must be fast?

Thanks for the welcome,
I hope I will get a chance soon to ride with some of you! But unlike Maurice I am far away from beeing the faster guy on a bike!

Welcome to the US, NJ, and the forum. If you want to do downhill riding then you need to go to Diablo at Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ.

just in time.....

welcome

Maybe France will do something intereting in this world cup, I don't really beleive in the team, but I hope they'll win a few games!
Thanks again for the welcome.

welcome, and don't listen to all that rigid, single speed hardtail 29er hype, those guys just have the Napoleon complex

Welcome to NJ and to MTBNJ! 😀

I hope to see you out on the trails... Will you give free french lessons on rides? 🙂

Welcome ,
to be more specific , most of the rides here in NJ are fast XC -when weather condition allows, if weather sucks - see my signature ...😉.
you most likely need to shift your riding style as I'm sure Diablo will be kind of disappointment after doing some FR in the Alps .
do you know where you are going to settle down here in NJ ?stay up to the north if you want keep the more technical rides close to your home .
