Purpose of Beach Glen Blue Trail

This trail is fantastic, one of the best around. A+ to the builders. But, it doesn't appear to lead anywhere. It merely takes you from road to road. There are a couple of unmarked off this trail but the one that went deeper in was basically a stream (OK, we've had some epic rainfall). How do people incorporate this into a ride. I went out and back and tried to find a passage further in but wound up at houses, etc.

Once I got back to the "road" after a quick unmarked shortcut I was faced with a horrendously steep and washed out fire road (that wasn't short, either). I made (walked) the climb to the White trail (four birds?) which is also a blast but the fire road is awful.

Am I missing something? How do people incorporate the blue trail into a ride?

Finally figured out how to import a gpx file into Topo USA and got the question answered. In case anyone else is wondering, assuming you start this trail near Greenpond Rd, you'd take it to Meridan Rd, make a left onto Meridan and then make a left back up into the woods in roughly 2500 feet.

Can you post the GPS info?

Blue trail

Glad you liked it,

We plan to extend marking the Blue "Beach Glen" trail along Hibernia Brook, past the "Hibernaculum" (Bat cave) parking lot, and continue up the mountain from fire house trail. So after you ride all the stuff on top of the mountain, you get on the blue and follow it along the whole Beach Glen / Meriden side until you pop out on the road. From there make a left, go up the road a short distance to use the bridge and then go up the beaver Brook River trail. This would take you back to the Splitrock parking lot if you started there.
