Race Face Atlas AM stem and bars

I recently switched out the Bontrager branded stem and bars on my Remedy with a Race Face Atlas AM set and wow, what a difference. At 28.5" the bars are pretty wide but offer markings on the ends if you want to cut them down. These are about a .5" wider than the stock bars but a lower rise (3/4") puts you right over the front in an nice aggressive position. Very comfortable back sweep and extremely stiff. Not a wiggle. Matched the bars up with a 70mm Atlas stem which is also a beautifully machined piece with superb stiffness. I highly recommend these to anyone - especially if you're riding a longer travel trail bike. The feel at the front of my bike is night and day compared to my old Bonty set up.

The AM = all mountain. Race Face also has an Atlas FR (freeride) series that are a bit burlier

Excellent. I am running the Atlas FR 785mm on my Fisher Rig. They will certainly take a ride to get accustomed to, but when you get it, they are ripping. Certainly would recommend them for riders with wider shoulders.

Be careful on the narrow technical trails... I've caught them @ Chimney Rock, 6 Mile, Mercer, Lewis Morris... With that said they still rip.

Certainly a must have.

Where are the narrow sections at Chimney Rock? I use 28" bars at Allaire, and I've grazed a knuckle here and there, but I wouldn't go back to a narrower setup.

with a 785mm bar, a lot of trails are narrower then you recall. truly only one tree coming down the Red trail to the Newmans Lot that will catch you out there.
