I discovered a very cool little park down in Maryland last week, called Naylor Mills Park. The eastern shore of Maryland is flat as a pancake, so I never dreamed I would find a good place to ride. To my surprise, this park was only 2.5 miles from my in-laws house and very cool.

The place claimed to hav a 5 mile loop, but it had many more trails interconnecting. The loop is very fast and winding, a little like 6-Mile. There are no true hills to speak of, but most of the trails are on a ridge to provide some fun up and down. There were some fun obstacles throughout the park. Bridges, skinnies and lots of log piles. It was obvious mountainbikers are maintaining the place. One obstacle was a roughly 3 foot log pile that was stacked up against a tree that had a Y split in it, so that you rode up one side, rode through the tree and then down the other side....very cool.

The place is not big enough as a destination ride, but if you happen to be in the area for business, etc, it is definitely worth checking out.
