Side by side hell

I have a neighbor who has been riding his side by side in Wawayanda. The guy goes in cherry ridge road, HL side, then goes down to where Cabin intersects with cherry, and does donuts, tears it all up. Rips down the trails. Digging shit up all over the place. one day there was a train of dirtbikes, quads and side by sides that went in. It's getting pretty bad with this ass hats. It's one think if its 1 or 2 kids, once in a while riding respectfully down the main trails, but you can see the damage these clowns are doing.

Sorry, Just my rant. I love this park, and I hate that it's getting torn up. I wish the park would go put some large boulders in the gate bypass to stop the side by sides & quads. They seem to do the most damage to the trails.

Call 1800-WARN-DEP

I do. When I see them. I report it. they won't do anything unless they catch them on the trail. It would probably stop most of it if they made it so they cant get past the gate.

Been doing this for years. Once upon a time, I used to ride back there. Probably 20 years ago, I rode with rangers back there. Now I only run and mtb the park.

We have a side by side that visits one of my local parks, does even more damage than the quads. Only way we have combatted it is making the trails super tight (when trees fall cut them tight to trail) and it does work. Also, hopefully the dumbasses will try and drive over a small bridge and fall off and get stuck (yes that actually happened)

I'm with ya, dude. Used to be, if a guy was too scared to ride a dirtbike, he would get a quad. Now there's a new level of dorkitude where you get a steering wheel and seatbelts and your boyfriend sits next to you.

It's even stupider then that. The get in these things, and all they do is ride up the trail. Do donuts. And then drive back. Can you think of a more boring activity then just riding down a wide open trail, and that's it? You just sit there and steer? it sounds super lame. and because it's so lame, they have to do things like tear up the trail with donuts to try to make it fun.

They won't do anything even if they catch them on the trail. I spoke to the Park Police and I was told that if and when they stop them they flip the middle finger at them and ride away.

I'm placing calls to DEP when I see them but it's not going to do anything as the Park Police is so understaffed they would never make it in due time to the park from wherever they are so my guess is they don't even try.

They know both Police and Park Police have been instructed not to pursue them so they do whatever they want. It's pretty bad here in Ringwood as well, I had a few encounters with dirt bikes on single track too...

You should check out golf.

The DEP recently deployed hundreds of trail cameras in Wharton State Forest.
Look around, smile and wave, before you empty your bladder on the trail.

Never been to Wharton. I seriously doubt they installed any at Ringwood State Park, and even if they did how would they identify the unregistered vehicles riding illegally in the park? I don't think they're after motor vehicles...

Clearly you do not play.
This is timely as I was on a huge meeting today and they were asking me if I play golf as they were all talking about the upcoming corporate tournament.

I do not play golf. I'm sure it's fun. Not donuts in a side by side fun, but fun in it's own way.
