May 1st is the H2H wayway race, what time/date do you guys think people will start driving up there for some race loop action?

anyone have the '10 race loop? i looked at the 08 and 09 avail in the sticky.

I'll be going the Sunday after SSaP. I'll let you know as we get closer but people usually pre-ride the weekend before or sometimes the day before. Personally I like an easy spin at 6mr or Allaire the day before to get loose

With the Pipeline being all dug up, I have heard that the course may be slightly different and possibly shorter than the last few years, but Black Bear are the people to check in with.

Yep, its going to be slightly changed. Pre riding started before the snow melted.

Haha...I love how they keep this as the first race. IMO it's the hardest course. Dave, I'll get in contact with you when I'm gonna come up with pearl, lou, Martin and capers for a pre-ride. Ive only been there 3 times (2 of them were races) capers has only been once.

If you've only been here 3 times, then don't worry about preriding. There's way more to the park than the race loop. Bring food. You have to give me a few days notice, just starting my addition/ renovation on the house. Matter of fact, waiting for the inspector for a footing inspection right now. Hopefully 7am tomorrow will see a concrete truck in my driveway. Footings passed, concrete in the AM

Dave/Panhead are you part of the Black Bear people or a local dude that just rides there a lot?

I still am with BBC as a club member. I race for Bicycle Tech now.

What days are you around in the afternoons for some road?

This afternoon (every Tues.), 5:00pm @ High Gear A ride. This is a fast pace ride but its good training for race season.

Other afternoons I tool around the roads of Monmouth Co. after work.

I have SSapalooza focus right now, but I am going to have to hit up wayway to prepare for the Bearscat and Chainstrech. Hopefully we can hook up for a tour of Wayway.

So what's this course like? I think this is going to be my first XC race of the year and I've never been to Waway.

2011 course: Looks alot different than 09, 10. I dont know waywayanda well enough to say its more this or that. But its waywayanda. Rocks, hills, the like

There may be some changes to the posted course. It looks like the wood bridges will be in and depending on how the weather goes over the next week the new single track section may come out. I am not going to kill that section with a race if it's wet.
