SRAM Guide Brake Levers

Hello,

I have SRAM Guide R Brake Levels on now. The pistons did the 'swell up' and I had to replace both of them. Seems like the NJ heat is the problem. I would like to up the levers to the RSC, but the design looks like I might have the same problem. Anyone in the shop seeing the piston problem with the RSCs?

I believe newer Guide RSC brakes do not have this problem. That's what I'm currently running without issue.

You can also purchase a $20 seal kit and upgrade the current ones.

I did. I picked up two replacement piston kits. When I took the first one apart, where the spring goes on the brake lever, that little rim, it has a big enough piece broken off that the spring won't hold on. The second lever is still mushy to me with the new kit installed. I am thinking I'll try one RSC to replace one. amnd go from there.
