Terrain, Which Trailhead?

Hey guys, I've been looking for more places to ride in CNJ than my usual Chimney Rock, 6MR and Sourlands. How are the trails here? Which place out of the 3 is it closest to (terrain wise)? Should I bring my hardtail or FS 6" travel bike?
Also, which trailhead is the best for biking? I saw like 4 on the trail map.
I've tried to find info, but most posts in this section are very old.

Thanks guys,
Tim

I haven't been to Sourlands before, but I have been to CR and 6M. In terms of comparison, it's more on the level of CR. It's not as hard, in my opinion, but it's still a decent challenge. I head to Baldpate when I'm in need of a good cardio workout and I have less time to travel from Princeton to Martinsville (CR).

Typically, I park at the lot at Church Rd and Fiddlers Creek (I think it's about halfway up the mountain). The trailhead is on Church and is pretty easy to find from the lot. From there I'll ride up to the main lot and then ride around on the other side of the park. As of recently, I think I've covered the majority of the trails, but I could be wrong. The uphill climbs are always rewarded with some fun singletrack sections that you can fly down.

I ride a hardtail (homegrown) and I've never had an issue with it here. A buddy I ride with has a FS homegrown and he managed fine too, even on the climbs.

Very beautiful park, and also has some great views at a few viewpoints (I believe its the highest point in Mercer County)

I'm thinking of going here today, weather permitting. Hope this helps..
