The Gate

Greetings All!
I haven't been to Round Valley in a while. In the past, I liked parking at the boat launch and entering through the causeway over into the park. The last time I was there a year ago, the gates were locked and the ranger said that they were keeping it locked due to people being jerks.

I was planning on riding there tomorrow and I was wondering if it was still kept locked.

I haven't been there this month - they usually unlock it after labor day, but I get the feeling they aren't going to.

looking at the heat map - it is a maybe - but if I filter on MTB, it is a no.

Park at Cush, do the Z climb and ride it backwards!

PS - let me know conditions - I've been threatening, but haven't been there
PPS - the eagle trail should be open - clear is another question.

@Patrick I hit up Round Valley today. Parked at Cushetunk. Wound up riding in the field next to the railroad tracks and wound up next to te tracks for a little and then took the Link to Lebanon Trail, which was super overgrown. I wound up spending 20 minutes picking out these things off my entire right side: https://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=depa6

I checked out the boat launch and it appeared it was all locked up tight. Went in the main gate and rode the loop. All was awesome, but there was a huge double tree in the last section of the trail before the first climb up to Chushetunk. Rode the Eagle trail and it was in good shape. It has been decades since I rode the Eagle Trail and holy crap was much harder than I remember.

Thanks for the intel and I hoep this helps.
