Super impressive. I always thought if I made one, it would be shaped so the left side would be a exact reverse of my torso.
Thanks! I'm definitely learning a lot as I build. I've put together partscasters before, but this is a completely new level.

Yeah, belly carve always feels nice. I have room to add one on this body, but I also have time to decide if I want to add one or not

You should make it have 48 frets so you can do Agine de Poitrine covers.

I've thought about it, but it's really far down my current list of too many projects. I already have a bunch of Les Pauls... so if I were to build my own version from scratch, there are a few changes I'd make - mainly routing it for Strat-style controls. I like my Les Pauls, but I play my Strat the most and I've become really accustomed to the knob and 5-way switch layout. I've looked at the 90s Les Paul MIII, but while the controls are close to a Strat, they are just not quite right.

There's a difference between "road worm" and just plain "grungy" and my Strat was definitely getting towards the latter... and when a string broke it finally gave me the incentive to pull the pick guard off and give everything a good cleaning.

This is my 1990 American Standard with a few modifications. Fender locking tuners, Wilkinson locking saddles, Duncan JB Jr (bridge) and Little 59 (neck) pickups. I've owned this guitar since 1991.
