I used to buy a lot more earlier but not anymore now. Even earlier I was not into high-end watches or so, mostly G-shocks, Seiko autos, Ecodrive, T-touch, more functional kinds. Also used to be on watchuseek forums. But not anymore.Anyone here collect watches by any chance?
You have to start somewhere.
N+1 Apple Watches I guess.Why?
Good forum, I used to be very active there as well.I used to buy a lot more earlier but not anymore now. Even earlier I was not into high-end watches or so, mostly G-shocks, Seiko autos, Ecodrive, T-touch, more functional kinds. Also used to be on watchuseek forums. But not anymore.

Only if you're flipping them. I'm talking about keeping them because you genuinely like them, not treating them as investments. My first was a Tag Heuer I got about 30 years ago which I still have and wear today. A tanking luxury watch market lowers the barrier to entry if you want to start collecting.Market is tanking, not sure what's collectible anymore.
I do some testing for work. Why?
Yeah. I've got some old Tags too, but I don't consider myself a collector as they haven't come out since I got my Omega.Only if you're flipping them. A Datejust is a sweet graduation present, a great everyday watch. I hope he appreciates it as much as he should. Get it from an AD so his name can be registered and credited for future purchases like in case he wants to get a Daytona or something.Maybe a datejust.
Have you guys been to a Rolex dealer recently, they have changed the process of buying one. My brother collects them and it's apparently the same around the world. They're basically trying to make them more exclusive but that's only because of demand. Last I heard it's a few months wait after building the relationship. If someone here know better, lmk. I have a few folks I know who are on a wait list.A Datejust is a sweet graduation present, a great everyday watch. I hope he appreciates it as much as he should. I used to, but I'd rather spend money on bike stuff now if I'm being honest. I really like Omega, have had multiple different styles, still have a Seamaster. Only other watch I have is a Tudor Pelagos (my daily). Might consider a Speedy at some point, but nothing on the horizon.Anyone here collect watches by any chance?
