What have you done to your bike today?

I was just telling @UtahJoe i saw a video where a guy converts these to an SPD by swapping the bodies with xpedo. Super simple swap. Just search and you'll see it. It takes 5 minutes to do.
I wouldn't do it for MTB In rocks, but maybe gravel.

Yeah, I feel like I'd get a dozen rides in before smashing one of these to pieces.

Bike noob maintenance clusterfook #1: rear hub on the HT (Shimano SLX oem hub) has some lateral play causing the derailleur to hunt a bit, figured i'd clean, regrease and tighten the bearings and cones and learn to do it myself. Went to disassemble, found i need a "17mm cone wrench. Ordered that, then found i needed a "cassette tool". Ordered that, got the cassette and brake rotor off, then found out why you need 2 cone wrenches. 🙄 Said fugg it, grabbed the lock nut with the Knipex and spun it free. Got her cleaned and lubed and didn't loose a single BB, so i got that going for me, which is nice.

Now i have to go back and fix the derailleur screws that i was monkeying with thinking it was just out of whack...

I commend your efforts. Too many folks on here would have swapped out the wheel for a more expensive (and not any better) replacement.

Going back together.
Removed all the original frame tape.
Going with a clear frame protection.
Removed all the old glue with a rubber tire valve stem in a drill. Plus some adhesive remover.
