#rimbrakesnotdeadyet!
I have been looking for a size 52 Ti frame for a while now to switch all the parts from my 2013 carbon frame. Couldn't find one until I found this DI 2 11 speed complete bike online with a deal I couldn't pass up. In better shape than I thought it would be. Almost new for a 2021.#rimbrakesnotdeadyet!
New bike build incoming, stay tuned. Plan A and B were failures so we’re into Plan C, which should’ve been Plan A in the first place 🤷
That what everyone says when they get there
Aspero 5?Yeah, my original plan was a bit too aggressive and relied on an outside source that was unreliable, which I knew going in, but I was optimistic. My second plan was using the company that I work for, which is also completely unreliable, which I knew going in, but thought I could get a pass after winning Bike Month. Plan C was to go through the company I ride for, who are very reliable and very willing to send me whatever I need, it’s just a card I don’t like cashing in because they’ve been so good to me I don’t want to take advantage. Plan A was over 3 months to get a no, Plan C took 24 hours to get a tracking number 🤷
Check the serial # on the cranks:View attachment 282809Pedals and Bottle cages on. Now to take for a ride and see if I need to change seat and bars.
Aspero 5?
😍 Looking forward to seeing it. Lmk if you try a 50mm...I went in a very slightly different direction to a very slightly different option that takes a very slightly bigger tire and uses a regular bar/stem and looks a lot like a bike one of us already has.

Yes, I have been looking for one for several months. Is that a ti bike?
Cool. I’m completely unfamiliar with this material. I’m guessing it must have some properties that make it advantageous? I’ve only ridden carbon and al.Yes, I have been looking for one for several months.

Much like the flat pedal evangelists, devotees of Ti tend to have an irrational obsession with the material. (Full disclosure, I have 3 Ti bikes☺️)Cool. I’m completely unfamiliar with this material. I’m guessing it must have some properties that make it advantageous? I’ve only ridden carbon and al.
My Hardtail MTB is Ti and at 69 years old a Ti road bike rides smoother than carbon and Al but not as fast. I am done with fast now. Down in SJ all you need is a hardtail MTB just flat and flowy trails.Cool. I’m completely unfamiliar with this material. I’m guessing it must have some properties that make it advantageous? The long and short of it is, Ti rides sorta like steel but doesn’t rust. It has the unique property of being able to retain its shape even under flex conditions that would cause steel to deform. Downside? It’s like 3x the cost of Steel partially due to raw material costs but mostly due to being a PIA to weld.
