Winter road shoes (3 bolt)

After my feet froze at a winter parade, I bought these. I wore them on a ride this AM and omg. I want to wear them all the time now.

I never seem to have enough airflow in my shoes to allow these to work. I wound up grabbing PI Amfib shoe covers. Only used 2x so far, but they make a difference.

I also wound up w/ electric socks but still not sure they are worth the hassle. They take a really long time to heat up, and this morning they were too hot so I had to turn them down but that’s also a PITA because the battery is buried. Also the socks do not stay up due to the battery weight.

I probably already mentioned this, but if you stick a regular hand warmer on the out side of your shoe and then put the cover over, that works really well too. Only for the coldest days.

FYI - Those Lakes are phenomenal. 22 degrees at the start and feet were fine with regular socks. Under $100 a pair on eBay is less money than booties and disposable warmers 🤷

Agree. I buy the toe warmers and stick them on the outside of my shoes under the shoe covers but a hand warmer can do the same thing.
