I need to get past the blue screen to do anything and I can’t at the moment. From what I’ve read I think I need to create a usb with new installation media from Microsoft.

Option two is bring this somewhere to be repaired.

F8 and boot into safe mode. You can run the repair tool from there.

That just brings back the original blue screen.

For some reason it isn't using the backup boot sector.

You may need to use another computer to create a flash drive with the proper os boot.

It is a corrupt hard drive. Or ssd.
Did it fail on an upgrade?

It’s an ssd, no upgrades. Not sure if there was any kind of update last night.
