Stephens State Park Conditions

A few more. See the maps. Sorry if these are repeats. Not sure of the previous names of trails mentioned. One large one towards the end of Meisterburger. Another towards the end of Tilcon Climb and one just before the power lines before you get to the maze area. Only pic is the one before the power lines.

Thanks! Tracking. Yes, please report whatever you find, repeats actually welcome! No apologies necessary with that at all. I study everything posted here, which helps me get my cut plan together.

I was able to get out tonight for a few hours after work. Focus was on the original part of Blue Rock trail (not the new NICA part). There, I got that hairy lowhanger. Then on to the maze area where I hit several on Lower maze, and a few at the top of the mazes. I spent a lot of time on a huge one at the bottom of Meisterburger. Then came home along Middle maze. One of the guys suggested that the one along Meisterburger had potential to become a skinny, since it fell perfectly along the trail. I was intrigued enough with the idea to try it but I didn't have a chain specifically for ripping, and it started to suck. And I was low on light, and chains were getting dull, and suffice it to say, it seemed better to clear that one completely. It could still use another cut to get it completely off the trail, but it's at least passable for now.

Wow! Great work man!

Thank you chainsawer! My (very novice) g/f and I passed by you on the section of pink between white and the mazes.

She was very startled to see someone with a chainsaw, lol. I explained what an awesome service you do for the community. Thank you!
That's funny! Thx for the kind words! Nice bumping into you two!

Tonight's after-work romp in Stephens was around the northern part of the park, targeting some of the intel listed above. I also stumbled on a handful of un-reported discoveries, and some hazard removals. (I tend to not like those sharp jagged branches, aiming right at your trachea. Go figure!). From my waypoints, you can more or less make out my path, which included Vistar & Pepe's sticks. I didn't feel like being in photography mode tonight though. Still a few more left in Stephens, but after the 3 recent sessions, certainly much less than a week ago! Nice night to be out, except for the bumper crop of bugs.

I hit Stephen's hard today, mostly attacking the stuff reported in this thread. (Thx again for your reports). I even finally got to a few near the spooky house on the "canal lower" trail. All apologies if you wanted that gigantic logover to stay, I savagely ripped it out. My waypoints show what I was on.

Great work! I attempted to ride over to stevens from continental lot but the creek was just too deep. That log over was there when I tried so I guess you were out after me. There was also one down at the top of the incline as well as another down at the very beginning of upper canal on the continental side.
Ended up at alamuchay. Third time in two weeks.

Gonna hit it tomorrow (Tuesday, 4/16) morning, hope the rain last night wasn't too bad. Will report back afterwards.

Fun morning taking out an e-bike this morning. Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp Carbon…
