6 Mile Run Bear

We rode there yesterday and we saw bear poop...scat..whatever you want to call it. We have been backpacking for years and have spent plenty of time im bear country. This was bear poop for sure. Not a big bear, but I would say there is one in the neighborhood.

How could a bear be present in a densely wooded area full of water streams and plenty of food!:confused::confused:

Bears are not rare in North Jersey and they can easily travel south especially when food becomes scarce.

Riding Tuesday with fit4life I saw a large black moving shadow right before the S. Middlebush intersection. I've seen plenty of deer there but this bugger was pitch black. Didn't see the full features but the figure did resemble our beloved 6Mile bear. I could be wrong, but I'm not the only one:

Ron, I think you should stick to riding in the day....:D

Na I like living on the edge....
It more safer riding at night time @ 6 Mile. Then it is riding night time over here in Edison. "Oh come again".... I rather take the chance with the bear...
