What have you done to your bike today?

Forgot to fiber grip the dropouts when I swapped back to gears and it was making a creak, creak, creak noise. Fuck that. Fixed. I also redid my headset because it was probably time.

I use it on any slidey dropout. Doesn't matter how tight you make the bolts, the dropouts move against the frame as you torque the rear wheel.
Interesting... I'll have to apply some to the drop-outs on my Chameleon. Haven't heard creaking yet, but of course I haven't ridden it yet. 🙁

It's snowing so it's fat bike o'clock. I took my newer Rainbow cassette and chain and put them on Pinky with AXS2.0 the other day, or week so I put my less rainbow cassette on with a GX chain. Seriously? GX. There's a rainbow shortage even for me.

I also apparently only have one AXS shifter somehow with like 6 groups. I must have a bag somewhere with the rest. Luckily I have a bunch of LH matchmakers because I run my shifter backwards.

I made a little chain protection thing out of a water bottle because I'm running a narrower q-factor than stock and my chain rubs the frame.

And someone gave me this cap as a tip. It's dope.

It took me forever to get the shifter comfy. The AXS shifter really doesn’t work good with XTR brakes. I tried a matchmaker but it didn’t clear right. I ended up with that same SRAM matchmaker x.

I picked my Santa Cruz up from Hamler's after it was tuned and the DUB thing sorted out and put 40 miles on it. I figured that was a good idea since we are getting 2ft of ❄. Its currently all wiped down ready to collect some dust.

Added some frame protection on my daughter's bike... she loves it.

Does the Stroke Servo thing on the XTR brake hit the shifter?

I got the updated rocker panel and the bolt to tighten the brake clamp barely clears the shifter.
I tried putting the shifter on the inside bit then that put my brakes too far in.

this works now. Luckily because I don’t like SRAM brakes. These XTRs aren’t the best but I’ve had them long enough that I can fix them when something happens.

@jShort nothing stopping you from throwing a piece of brass shim under the matchmaker (on either the brake lever or shift lever).

*edit* oh whoops, old brakes. I've got an I-spec to SRAM dealie if you want it

*edit edit* it's a LH so it's offset to the left, not right. But I do have a discrete (directly to shifter) clamp for SRAM if you want it.
