Things that make you frown :(

I was trying to be purposefully reasonable and kind in my post and people still took it as an attack on themselves. I guess when you know you're doing something shitty it eats at you.

I'm sure they'll be at trail maintenance meetups in a couple months.
I am coming to the conclusion that it just isn’t worth it to educate these people as it is always a fight. Yesterday, I scoped on me of my local trails where I do a bunch of work. I worked on a new section that was cut in December and then scoped some parts of the park. It was pretty bad in areas and I skipped the area I knew it would be worse.

In the afternoon, two XC local hero (who are late 60’s) did not one, but two laps (meaning they saw the bad spots and rode it again). Honestly, are these people going to change, no, not even worth saying anything to them.

One thing about these new comers is that they are actively fighting back. It used to be that you just rode and didn’t put it in strava or made private. But now it is like some stupid badge of honor.

😀 - good call, again my horrible writing style.

Not keeping the fork. I'll make jewelry and wall art out of the frame, then buy the exact same one. Maybe in black the next time.

Nah, I got that you're thinking about selling the fork, it just made more comedic sense the other way around. Whatever color buy a bigger frame, I think that one is too small for you.

Tweaked my back at work this morning, that's what I get for burning the candle at both ends for way too long and trying to squeeze 3 hours worth of work into a 50 minute downtime(again). I'm going to try and rest it tonight but I can't take time off until some people come back from extended leave. Which means it'll just hurt like hell for the next few weeks and I'll just have to pretend it doesn't like usual so I can get the job done. I'm tired.

Update on the tree, I called them to tell them it fell and he happened to be a few blocks over so he came and cleared the neighbor's driveway real quick. They'll be back tomorrow to remove it and clean up, discounting a good bit because it doesn't need to be dropped and it's not sprung. I won't be hurting my still messed up back clearing this up after all. I guess I could move this to the smile thread since it worked out in the end.

I'm going to drive by to see this.

Son sends me this last night. This is why I buy road hazard warranty any time I get tires replaced but now the car also needs an alignment.

At least I didn’t need to replace both from tires he said the other side is barely worn down.

Alloy Wheel repair has a mobile unit.

Ugh......

Hopefully you got it early?
Stay comfy! dilaudid?
Haha, I've been wanting to try dilaudid for some time, but no, luckily the pain was tolerable without any meds. I caught it early. Considered not getting it checked and hoping it would go away on its own, but the pain was enough for me to take a trip to urgent care. All they did was tell me to go to the ER. 6 hours later I walked out with some antibiotics. Nothing compared to what you had to deal with!
