Same as when one person is on a fat bike, you have to wait up for them all the time. The ebike is the one that is waiting in that caseSerious question: What happens when you’re on a group ride and no one else has an ebike? That’s got to affect the quality of your ride.
This is easy, hardtail Amish bikes.Serious question: What happens when you’re on a group ride and no one else has an ebike? That’s got to affect the quality of your ride.

My friend is usually the only one of us on an e-Bike. She is usually in the front, but she was usually in the front before getting the e-Bike (SC Heckler). She's 61 in a few months and looking at two knee replacements over the next two years. Having an e-bike means she can still ride. She has always been a good technical rider, but the heft of the bike has made her adjust how she rides some features. Some of the logs she could get over most of the time at Pennypack are more difficult on the e-Bike. The last few rides chasing her (or being chased) through Tiger Woods at Allaire have been fun. I can get ahead of her on some of the descents, but I have to work hard to keep whatever gap I can get..Serious question: What happens when you’re on a group ride and no one else has an ebike? Figures it will be coming while I'm in Sedona but that gives me a head start to gaining some fitness out there on the Amish rental bikes 😁
Nope, won't affect it much if at all. As long as I'm riding I'm chilling.Serious question: What happens when you’re on a group ride and no one else has an ebike? That’s got to affect the quality of your ride.

Looks good...
This is why I never weigh mine. With coils F&R, Cushcore, heavy tires, I don't want to know (as a reformed weight weenie.) Only feels heavy when lifting and bunny hopping.Damn that looks sweet, but they lose me when I hear 50+ lb weight. 🙁
They also lose me when I hear, “starting at $8995.”This is why I never weigh mine. With coils F&R, Cushcore, heavy tires, I don't want to know (as a reformed weight weenie.) Only feels heavy when lifting and bunny hopping.
Yeah, it does look good. However, I'm not sure when we'll see similar bikes weighing much less. While the Levo is a fair bit lighter, it also has less travel.Damn that looks sweet, but they lose me when I hear 50+ lb weight. 🙁
Well, since mine is twice that, I thought that was an entry level e-bike.They also lose me when I hear, “starting at $8995.”
This is exactly why I didn't go full fat and went with the Orbea Rise. The weight in low to mid 40-lb range is much more tolerable that 50+ lbs. full fat version.they lose me when I hear 50+ lb weight. 🙁

I have a customer's e-bike here right now. He says that's pretty much the only place he rides it. Rides a regular bike everywhere else.It does weigh more than it looks. It doesn’t have a monstrous down tube like a typical full power emtb.
I was at Frederick Watershed last weekend and the climb trails never get easier (if you are not shuttling). An emtb would be a godsend.
