Bastard 10-spd

And how much smaller is really even small?

30T in the front and 50T in the back. If that's not enough...?
1st world problems...

Do you need that new bike?
No
Do you want that new bike?
Yes

Can I deal with the 48t?
Yes.... well maybe no... lol
Do I want the 50t?
Yes

I am however reminded of couple years back when I tried wide range cassette on a 10 spd with a goatlink. Yes it worked but not as well.

I should just to stick with what the manufacturer intended.
So I guess I should now revised my question to... 1x11/12 and get the gear I want or save some money and go 1x10 with 48t.

I am actually leaning toward the 1x10/48t 😀
But I do like sram shifting
For this particular wheel in question, I have both HG and XD freehub. It started its life with a GX Eagle drivetrain

let me see what i have - it may only go to 46.....

Who has the Orange Muk now? I put an extended range 9sp w/goatlink on that!

Did sram ever have over 46t on their 11spd?

Last person I know was @Mtbdog who had the muk

But speaking of 9spd... anyone who wants to buy Box 2 prime 9? Lol

@mtbiker87 is shredding northern jersey parks on the Muk now.
Yup...and loving it ! It's still a great bike. It now rocks a Microshift Advent 9spd, which works amazingly well. With a 30t chainring, 42t big cog, and 26"x 4.6 tires, and I don't really feel the need for a lower low. Range works good on the fatty, but agree with @Paul H that for an application where keeping a steady cadence is important, the 9spd deals fall kinda short. I definitely notice the difference coming down from the 11spd set ups on my other bikes.
