Come one come all to ye annual fall ride in Washington Valley on the Chimney Rock trails.

The group ride will be held Saturday, October 22 from 9am-12pm.

This is intermediate terrain, complete with rocks, roots and elevation. All are welcome however be warned this is not beginner friendly trail.

We will split into smaller groups to accommodate different fitness levels and experience riding rock.

Please post up if you can lead a ride, we rely on fellow mtbers to keep these rides rolling. Also, post up if you can make it so we'll have some idea for the amount of leaders needed.

I should be in, and I can help sweep a beginner ride if you guys like, even share a bit with leading if need be. Comfortable on Red and White, Blue as an out and back from the top.

Ah, if only you could change how rocks are spaced at Cimney Rock, say something like Ringwood...seriously though, I have eye surgery on 10/11, this is probably too soon. Gutted, I did well last year at this ride (but I sucked at the 7/4 ride this year so...).

I am in but I don't know the park at all, so someone will need to show me where to ride to avoid the previously mentioned rocks.
Cool, probably in. Never been there
You will like it. I really don't like the rocky NJ stuff at all, CR has less of that. The rocks are CR are mostly part of the trail so to speak, as opposed to rocks jutting out of the trail. Yellow and High Tech are definitely another animal, but the rest is techy goodness

Can any one share a Stava screenshot of the loop, so I can see the milage? I'd like to do a solo test run or 2 before commiting to a group ride

There will be a bunch of people at this ride with a bunch of different smaller groups split into different paces. I’m sure you’ll find a group that you’ll be comfortable with. The leisurely paced rides are always the most fun.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get out of kids soccer practice
