Ticks

I recommend this, had to use it for the first time this week (found one on my kid 😔). The tick had just started biting so it was going to be an easy remove anyway, but it was super simple to do. I ordered a few more to keep around the house and in the cars.

Found one on my neck last Monday. Heard there is a one day preventative antibiotic you can take early. Doctor said no and wait for bullseye.

Have a red bump still. I do get tested every year when I have my routine blood work.

So gross. I'm all for biodiversity but if these went extinct I wouldn't be sad
I got Lyme's and had no bulls eye from the tick byte. When I got Lyme's it took about 4 weeks for the symptoms. If you start getting any symptoms of Lyme's in the next few weeks get tested.

Edit: NVM, I see this was last year. Hope your doing well.

My suggestion to all:
Use permethrin on your clothes.
Be knowledgeable about Lyme's symptoms.
You can get Lyme's with no bullseye.
This is very important! I treat my shorts and shoes and rarely find a tick. In fact, the last tick I did find fell out of my hair (immoble with legs curled in) while rinsing my bottle at the kitchen sink. Permethrin either did the trick or I have a natural chemical response.

If your neighbors seem to be grilling alot of chicken, you'll know why!
Both neighbors are very interested in tick control. And eggs. I don't eat eggs, so they'll get them to make up for the noise, lol. The one neighbor said if they get less ticks on their dogs, they'll get some guineas, too.

I kinda love em, lol. Can't wait till they're running around all over the place screaming 🤣

They are just a little smarter than a chicken - which doesn't mean much.
WIll be ok during the day - lock em up at night.

good looking group!

Cutter makes a tick identification kit. You can mail the tick and it get tested right away for lymes

Nice to know! Kit looks to be about $30 and is tested by East Stroudsburg University.

Looking at their program further, you can work directly with the University

PA residents can get ticks tested for free, basic test is $50 for everyone else.
