Well being older and the trails are a little tougher at my age, although I love the woods. The roads are good too.
And, my wife of 60 years died a year ago this month and I was her only caregiver for the last four years of her life
She had Dementia and I had to stay close to home
Knowing that makes me even happier than I was any time I saw your riding posts. Caregiver burnout is devastating, especially when caring for that population (Alzheimer's, dementia etc). Prioritizing yourself is something I tell every person caring for someone (speaking professionally and personally). You're a wonderful person.
 
Starting to get some confidence back...

Still limited with what I can do when it comes to lifting the front of the bike over stuff, but fortunately a full 29er does the monster truck thing well.

Did two laps chasing Tom around in 3/8 mode... damn, my legs are sore.
