Got mine today, it’s pretty delicious. But it’s also 33 grams of sugar, which is insane to me. And that’s on top of the 19g in the scoop of hydration powder I have during the ride.I don’t really use Strava. But a friend told me about some Scratch Labs promotion. So I uploaded some rides and I got this for it. Just cost of shipping/5$.

Isn't the high sugar the entire point?Got mine today, it’s pretty delicious. But it’s also 33 grams of sugar, which is insane to me. And that’s on top of the 19g in the scoop of hydration powder I have during the ride.
Also, I’m complaining about this as I eat a double scoop of muddy nutty from Gabriel’s Fountain , so take that FWIW.
He's shoved in there somewhereDog carrier for Toto too?
This is the larger one - 150L. I have a medium SC Tallboy in there. It's snug but it'll zip. What size Post Carry case and what size bike?
Before I take it all apart I'm wondering if my current bike can fit in my large Post Carry case for an upcoming trip.
Maybe? I don’t really pay attention to this stuff, I just drink the skratch mix because it doesn’t seem to have a bunch of trash in it (aside from the sugar). I tried the recovery stuff cause it was “free”.Isn't the high sugar the entire point?
It’s actually not much at all. Your body will burn that and much more in an hour of easy pedaling. It’s the best way to replace glycogen stores during aerobic exercise. Sugar, fructose, maltodextrin, it’s all the same shit really. I swear I’m not making this up. 👍Got mine today, it’s pretty delicious. But it’s also 33 grams of sugar, which is insane to me.

So you are saying he should have had more ice cream?Yeah. Rob did 16 miles so we're at 2+ hours, figure 1200 calories if we're being really conservative but more likely 1500 ballpark. Almost all of those calories are glycogen. Math that out and you're losing 375 grams you need to replace. 19+33 is pissing into a bonfire.
Note: as you get older, the replacing takes longer.

Ha that was my first thought too, which brings it back around to the topic of this thread. So you are saying he should have had more ice cream?
Thanks for the enlightenment, I honestly never bothered looking too deeply into this stuff other than noticing that it had a ton of sugar in it. I just assumed there was a ton of sugar in it because there’s a ton of sugar in everything else on the shelves.
did she eat the other 1/2 or is she rationing you intake? So my wife just handed me a plate with half a chocolate croissant on it. After said croissant disappeared and I was licking the croissant flakes off the plate, I read this post.

She ate the other half. I married a Canadian, not a Communist.
