Might have business at Shea Center at WP in Wayne tomorrow2-3. I see High Mtn right there. Worth bringing a bike for a quick hour? I poked around the thread in N.Jersey. poking here too. Thanks

Here's one that is around an hour and hits some of the tech and climbing you might like. You're likely gonna park in the college lot,100 University Drive so you'll have to improvise the start. Good luck and have fun.
Thanks. With age and injuries not looking too tech or climb. Indeed, used to love it. Nowadays really enjoy cruising around my local Allaire. Haven't traveled north to any of the good stuff in years, since 2018 back surgery. Not dead yet though and will poke around.

Yeah, just be warned: High Mtn is quite chunky. Worth a visit though.

So, made it up today. Indeed, parked at the main lot and just took the colored trails, red - right onto yellow - and left back on to red. Seeing the comments "colored trails suck", have to agree and guessing the other trails I'm seeing on the posted rides are probably better for riding. (I would've compared it to CR a bit but even with the rocks, CR has way more flow and was well put together by the amazing local crew.) Yellow was just a mess of 3-5" rocks strewn over the whole trail. Either climbing or descending had to be on the ball, a bit too much for it to be enjoyable anyway. I guess at this stage of riding, and having ridden and raced in dozens of parks and conditions over the years, I'm blessed to have Allaire local where I can just go with the flow and have fun! Thanks for the info, and certainly a nice view of NYC at the lookout.
