Where is this trail??? "Jesus drop"

LOL

I don't know why these dudes needed to include footage saying that "they destroyed it" and then showing themselves re-building what is most certainly a rogue trail. Just gonna get your work destroyed that much faster. Could easily post the same sick footage without the beginning part incriminating themselves.

That is the og ramapo free ride line , been around for a long time but people keep dismantling features so it's status is always a gamble
One of them... I remember riding an early version of that trail back in 2001. It was more raw and didn't have any of the wooden features back then. I was under the impression it stopped getting maintenance after Mtn Creek reopened as Diablo.

Not worth it. Hard to climb back up to session unless you’re on a full power eBike. The shuttle back is a long drive to the top of skyline. It’s impossible to park there these days. Go to creek.

This! Bunch of years ago I was invited by some friends run that on dh bikes, dragging a dh bike up skyline is not recommended 🙄

It's difficult to find this old trail from the top, but it's not that hard to find where it crosses the Wanaque Ridge Trail. Ride the Wanaque Ridge Trail (orange blaze) southbound. After you cross the pipeline and hike-a-bike up the steps, keep riding while looking to your right. You'll eventually see a faint path that leads to one of the drops. This is what it looked like 10 years ago, no clue what it looks like these days. I hiked and tried to ride the whole thing a while ago. Some of it is ridable, but I wouldn't ride any of the wooden stuff unless you've got someone with you to get help. Not exactly an easy spot to access in case of emergency.

I ended up working my way up from back beach. It’ll take me another run to piece it all together. Skipped few things due to ice lol
I also don’t use Strava or anything so keeping it to myself. It’s very cool trail
There was a “pro” line way back in 2004 that had a nasty rock drop called World Cup and road gap that was 15’ drop by 20’ gap. None of us hit that stuff. 😂

I remember the World Cup drop, although it was a few years before - around 2001.

Do you remember anyone hitting this drop at Ringwood Drive and Westbrook Road?

I remember one of my friends Joe V hitting it. He wrecked on his first attempt but then went right back up and cleaned it the second time.

Did you guys ever ride the south-facing rock slab that comes off the Wanaque Ridge? You gotta bushwack a bit off the top of the Ridge trail to get to it, and it is steep. Big pucker factor.

Heh, I pass that every time I'm driving to Ringwood or Jungle always wondered how feasible it would be. Pretty cool.
