2026 XC MTB Season Discussion Thread (Schedule in 1st Post)

Got it figured out. Registering for other Endurance classes is shown as $15. Only seems to be an issue with the Endurance SS class. Have been in touch with the timer and promoter. They're working on it.
Promoter has the Bikereg page updated and was able to register. See y'all in the SJ Pine Barrens Saturday.

Went and rode the xterra course yesterday and its not very good lol. A bunch of rumbly washed out fireroad climbs . Two stream crossings that I'm assuming most will need to walk their bike across unless you are really good at trials hops. Some other sections of just endless rock gardens that make a ride at allamuchy feel like allaire. Ohh and if it's wet the amount of off chamber roots will be interesting. I expect lots of crashes and some dnfs especially for the multisport races on Sunday.

Huge yikes. I was curious if they were going to put any work into that trail system to make it a little more palatable. Glad I didn't drive out there to pre-ride, thanks for the intel.

Yeah these are very much so hiking trails in my mind. Not saying there not rideable just not super enjoyable. I know they were in a bad spot and had to find a solution to still have the event but wish they found something else. Ohh well I did two laps of it and on the second lap I was just laughing in anticipation of the potential carnage for the people expecting it to be similar to the wawayanda course.

Thank you for the intel on this. I've done the half marathon trail run race at Wawayanda the last 3 or 4 years (fun event, but aweful course with at least 50% of it on gravel and washed out fire roads) and was considering the mtb races this year, but this is exactly what I was worried about. Bummer, but fortunately there are lots of other races out there.
