.........hello everyone!im new here, just got here in(somerville) new jersey from philippines, looking for friends to get along with in mountainbiking... any filipino bikers here?

Filipino in Monmouth!

Wassup man! Welcome to Jersey. My cousin and I ride at Allaire all the time. He also has a few Filipino friends that he rides with. We're relatively new to the sport (2 yrs for me, his first now). Welcome!

We're out there, about an hour from you. And I haven't really done any riding up north yet. But we're down to ride normally some time during the week. Normally tuesdays and wednesdays at Allaire State Park. Where in the Philippines are you coming from? And what's your riding level?

im in mountainbiking for two years, im from northern philippines, ISABELA to be exact, where are you in philippines?the nearest trail from here is the chimney rock, have to figure out how to get there.

CR is right off Newmans Ln. Go check out the trail directory for more info. Other close places to you are Six Mile, and Sourlands...

im not familiar with 29ers?what that?
Well isn't Isabela in Visayas? Not exactly north but I know my way around. My Dad is actually from a hacienda called Antolanga, right outside of Isabela. I was there a few months ago visiting family in Antolanga, Isabela, La Carlota, Bacolod and Casalagan!

29ers are bikes with 29 inch wheels.

A 69er is 29 in front, 26 in back.

Let me know when you're ready to explore a place for the first time. I'll come out and see these places, i.e. CR/ Six Mile/ Chimmney. I'm a XC rider by the way, don't do too many drops and definitely not big. More like singletracks. I'll talk to ya soon!

Kamusta. Were you one of the three biking in Chimney Rock last Sunday the 13th? If so, we spoke a little right after me and my brother were packing up and you were about to hit the red trails.

If it was or wasn't you, let's hit up Chimney Rock together sometime anyway and have a post ride snack at Lutong Bahay 😀

Not from Phillipines...

I love riding with anyone - I need to learn and develop my skillz...

More importantly, I love any kind of good "ethnic" food, or good food in general .. 🙂

Lutong Bahay is good but you should check out Philippine Island Food Mart in Raritan .. food is yummy!! (it's really close to Somerville) ... Welcome to NJ and see you on the trails!
