Halter's Cycles

I just want to say a public thanks to Jay and the guys. I appreciate the time you took to help me. I have to say that this was the best buying experience I have ever had. Thanks again

I am always happy to go to Halters. Jay and Chris always take care of me. I actually went in with a broken frame (not knowing it was cracked) and came out with a new one.Within an just over an hour I had a bike together and ready to ride! I have been going there for parts and service and never bought a bike. I lied , bought a bike for my mom. I can now say I bought a bike. It is a great shop with great people! Thanks again

Thanks to Ez-E.......

Chris was very helpful with picking out a new SS crank set. The bike mechanic(sorry bud I forgot your name) was also very informative and thorough. It turns out my frame was bent pretty bad and my rear wheel is FUBAR. Thanks again guys and I will be paying more visits in the future

shout to all the guys at Halter's... you guys are the best!!!! every single one of you are awesome... (yes even that Jdog guy 😉) you always take care of me and I never leave unsatisfied (but somehow I always end up buying something new and shiny :hmmm🙂... thanks for everything you do... (but mostly for me 😀)...

You should race that red C-Dale tomorrow. Um...they looked a few of us out today. Nothing like showing up the day before a race and saying "help" right Joe. Thanks Halter's

Halters has a secret section for dogs to poop in and they build super radical free-ride wheelsets with road rims.

I have had limited experience with Halters but I have to say those experiences have been great. My first exposure to them was back in 2008 when my friend bought his Trek. They even upgraded his tires upon purchase.

Fastforward to 2010, I had to rebuild my Recon SL and I was going back and forth with Jason but when I came to the shop, he was not around but Chris was. I got the parts and seals (they gave everything to me for free). Chris said I could pay 20 bux if I wanted but he would feel bad about it. Then I inquired about the shock oils. I needed two different ones. He said he does not anything for sale (that was required for my rebuild), but he went in the back and came back with the two bottles of oils and said here, use what you want and bring it back. I stood there like a moron cause I could not get over the awesome service. I promised to bring it back in two days and I did.

These guys are great as well. Love the huge selection they have and also the customer service.

PS: I am not sold on the 29er yet fellas 😛

Thanks man!

29ers are not for everyone, but going forward it is hard to ignore the momentum that 29ers are rolling with at this point. (pun intended)

All of our sales reps are actually telling us NOT to stock any 26" wheeled bikes above $1000. They are still selling but not at the rate that 29ers are.

We have been accused of pushing the 29er thing, but quite honestly we all ride them and we feel like they work really well for the trails most local to us.

The reality is that the average rider will not be spending more than $1500 for a bike. Using that rational, most often the 29er hardtail at $1500 will outperform a 26" dualie or hardtail for our local trails. (most often)

Halter's is ridiculous. I've seen some impressive shops in the Northeast, but nothing like this. Huge selection of everything. I stopped in there today for the first time, and, as expected, Jay and Chris were incredibly friendly and easy going.

The shop is 30 minutes from my home and I pass three other shops on my way to Halters. It's absolutely worth the drive.

Big props to Chris. He genius. Resuscitated my TCX which I've taken through 1200 miles of salt, dirt snow and potholes. Thanks man. Runs like new now.
