GT350R Carbon Fiber Wheel Info

I know the ginamatics are far and away better performance wise then manuals at this point...but god does it look and sound like they ruin the experience. That run look looked about 1/10th as exciting as when Sabine Schmidt lapped the ring in a van. Which is of course the point.

Since we are in this thread...it should also be noted that this car only costs about $5000 more than @Carson 's M2 which ran the ring in 7:58...so you could run this car around the ring, then make about 3 quarter mile runs before the m2 shows up. 🙂

Oh and I put as much trust in manufacturers ring times as I do presidential candidate statements.

Friend of mine just bought a Cayman GTS (with the boxer 6). Man, that car can handle, and it sounds so sweet near redline. Car is so easy to drive fast, so predictable. If I were getting a coupe and had the scratch, that car would be it. Certified though, since Porsche went and ruined it with a turbo-4. Sound of the engine does matter.

I can see you rollin south Florida ...windows down with some Guns and Roses blasting from the radio . Do I have this image correct Rick ? That's a nice present man . Your at a nice point in life , enjoy that !

Pretty much - maybe children of bodom rather than G&Rs tho. I followed a race red gt350 on 206 S this afternoon - wow what an amazing exhaust sound!

Holy Crap -

i picked up a new XT5 - first time pulling up to a red traffic signal the engine shut down. It is hardly noticeable, but caught me by surprise.
lifted my foot off the brake, and started right up again. there is a mark on the tach indicating it is in standby.
also has a crazy "surround" camera view, which gives a top down look at the car, and the area around it.

the tech is getting crazy - does some self steering , parking, and braking, auto everything - auto hi-beam, auto defrost, auto ww, auto seat heat/cool, auto interior light dimming, along with the traction stuff.
looking forward to trying carplay and autoplay.
car is billed as AWD, but has a 2WD mode, including sport and touring (haha sport in xuv)

funny because I was thinking my next car would be a 50's or 60s GMC suburban that has absolutely no tech. Simplicity. I may upgrade a few things to keep me from getting dead but just pure steel and simple.

honda makes the civic hybrid MT option...im sure if Ford does this it will be some special model and come with the 10 speed...it will probably be the fastest 0-60 mustang ever...They arent going to make a hybrid mustang for fuel mileage reasons

just that they are all hybrids...im sure it wont be as fast or as good, but it wont cost 2 million either. It will probably be quite heavy because at mustang/camaro prices, its kinda hard to make things light weight. But maybe it will have 1000hp combined...who knows.
 
Saw these sales #s posted. Im kinda surprised the mustang outsold the camaro by such a big margin given its now on its 3rd year since being redesigned, whereas the camaro is on its first.
