Raritan 911: Robocop

Back in the day, before the rear passenger seat belt law and cameras in the patrol cars, I heard that officers who were getting yelled at on the way back to the station would stop short for imaginary deer in the roadway. Or so I've heard.

@Carson do you have somebody responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your back seat or is that on you? Maybe that's part of the new hire orientation process?

Unfortunately, it's on us. For the most part is pretty easy. Some bleach and water since everything is vinyl. We did have a scabies outbreak and a MRSA scare. Both of those were handled by some company that came in with guys looking like the feds at Elliot's house in E.T.

I love the drain hose\pipe that just dumps on your feet instead of actually connecting LOL
Brief historic sidetrack...urinals were actually already used in ancient Rome, hence the name Vespasian from the name of the emperor that supposedly started collecting taxes on them as the urine was harvested in order to extract ammonia used to clean clothes. You can still see very old ones (as well as newer ones) in most Italian cities.

Selling urine is the origin the expression ‘piss poor’ and the more dire ‘not even a pot to piss in’.

Flemington, in a nut shell. Particularly after your car partner from midnight shift tells you his DWI arrest peed in your backseat.

But at least the nieces came to visit today. Although I couldn't let them sit in the peed-filled backseat.

in my gear-head days, the big thing was to lift a 4-runner. body, suspension, both....
then add a light bar, and off-road lights. We always kept the covers on the lights, cause getting pulled over,
and a ticket, and whatever else was happening in the car. And dope KC hilites covers!

I see all these jeeps with their LED bars wired up and ready to go at the flip of a toggle.

what's the deal?

Mall, Starbucks, and Pilates parking lots can be dark AF. Safety first.

@fidodie

Nothing has changed; off-road lights are supposed to be covered while operating on the road. And you are only allowed to have a maximum of 6 white bulbs illuminated to the front (4 headlamps plus 2 fog or driving lights) at any time. I'd have to look up the statute on that, though, as I haven't ever bothered with it. Most of the trucks I see only have the light bars on with their high beams. And with the amount of deer strikes in Hunterdon, I can't say I blame them.

The LED or HID bulbs in the halogen reflectors is far more annoying. It sears my retinas.
